The latest addition to our Wine & Spirits portfolio comes to us from Island Grove Wine Co.. Located in Hawthorn, Florida the winery sits on approximately 200 acres of certified organic berry farm land. The history of the winery originally began back in 1995, when two blueberry farms in North Central Florida combined to become Island Grove Ag Products. In 2009 IGAP began researching a value added product to add to their already thriving blueberry and nursery production. Wine was the obvious choice.

The question became what to do with a surplus of harvested fruits?

"We wanted to create an innovative way to use our extra fruit from each fresh season. In 2010 the Island Grove Wine Company was born. This is when we began to use our fresh fruit to create exceptional fruit wine. Along with our skilled winemaker, Chase Marden, the team at Island Grove have grown the winery since then, with over 20 different offerings."

Their Mission

"We began with a clear focus: to produce high quality blueberries and blueberry plants. Through our working relationship with the University of Florida Breeding Program we were able to utilize on-site research to increase production and knowledge of experimental and newly released blueberry varieties.".

The Wine's

Producing over 20 different varieties of Blueberry and Fruit Blended wines their styles include; Dry's, Sweet's, Sangria's and Moscato's. The winery also produces a line of "sparkling" wines. Wines in their "Island Collection" are made with a variety of blended grapes and fruits, as well as some 100% fruit wines, to create different and unique flavors. "We are proud of our healthy, antioxidant rich berries and the wonderful wines that we have created."
